Day 1 - Morning Prep & Ride

0800: Meet at Tucson Adventure Rentals Office to load up machines and check on stores.
0900: Head out on the trails and head for the main trailhead access point.
1000 – 1530: Run the trails through the Santa Rita Foothills down towards the old ranching settlement of Sonoita. Very scenic high desert trails with plenty of big sky and “wow!” moments. Take a detour to the old homesteader cabin out on the eastern slopes before running into Sonoita and Elgin, Arizona’s Primary Vinyard Location.

1530 – 1630: Arrive at the overnight campsite. Offload, check, and park the vehicles up.
Camping accommodation Options: 4-man tent (included), 4-Man RV Camper ($150 additional), or Room at the Sonoita Inn or other local accommodation (Dependent on availability and cost as per location rates at time of booking).
1630: Load up for trip to Autumn Sage Vineyard (Transport Service Provided)
1700 – 1830: Wine Tasting and relaxing chill at the Autumn Sage Vineyard.

1830 – Return to chosen dinner location.
- (Included) Campsite BBQ, Homemade Smash Burgers, Bratwurst and sides. Other options available by request.
- (Cost Varies) World Famous Sonoita Steak Out Restaurant or the Copper Brothel Brewery
2100 – Campfire Chilling till it is bedtime or drop off at chosen overnight location.

0645: Pick up from non-campsite locations if required.
0700: Breakfast at the campground. Several options available by request. Example Meals: Bacon, sausage, eggs and cheese. Beans, tomatoes, and hash browns. English muffins with spreads, tea and coffee.
0800: Load up and head out to Patagonia trailhead.
0830 – 1200: Cross the foothills of Mt Wrightstown and Elephant Head peak to the Historic Town of Tubac. Take the trails and pass the abandoned mines of the original Pioneers and Frontiersmen who came to seek their fortune in the desert.
1200 – 1330: Lunch Stop in Tubac AZ. Several different dining choices to choose from!

1330 – 1700: Take the trails from Tubac to the Mining and Ranching Community of Arivaca and the La Siesta Campground. Follow the route that Coronado and his men took four hundred years ago. This same route was later the scene of Cavalry and Apache skirmishes! The trail ends up linking to the mining town of Ruby and onwards to the major town of Nogales.
1700 – 1830: Settle down at the La Siesta Campground. Tent ($45) and RV’s (varies per size) available
1830: Steak Dinner (other options available) around the campfire and then chilling under the limitless starlit Arizona Desert Sky with its unparalleled sparkle and clarity. Star gazing equipment and expertise on hand to tell the story of the skies.

0645 – Pick up from non-campsite locations if required.
0700 – 0800: Breakfast at La Siesta Campground Club House. Meal choices similar to Day 2.
0830 – 1230: Trail riding! First, we head out towards the Ghost Town of Ruby. Then we’ll visit the remains of Old Glory and take breathtaking trails down to the Border Wall. From there take the old mining and ranching trails to the Ghost Town of Sassabee passing abandoned prospector mine shafts and enjoying those great wide open views.
1230 – 1330: Lunch at Sassabee and the Hill Top Bar.

1330 – 1630: Ride out to Presimudo Canyon to view the Giant Saguaros and the Adobe Ruins. Can you work out what the location used to be and why? Then marvel at how they did it.
1630 – 1730: Then return to Arivaca and a farewell reception with refreshments at Arizona’s oldest Bar.
1730 – 1900: load up and transport back to Tucson and our location.
